AUTHOR Searches. Enter last name first name. The system truncates on the right automatically and retrieves a list of Authors that may be browsed. Entering Einstein will retrieve a browseable list of all authors named Einstein.  Links of books by these authors will appear.
        Examples:
einstein al (will retrieve Al, Albert, Alfred, etc.)

TITLE Searches. Enter the title or series name. Enter as much of the title as you know. The system automatically truncates on the right and retrieves a browseable list of Titles. Omit articles ("a", "an", "the") that appear at the beginning of a title.
        Examples:
            guns of navarone
portrait of the artist (this retrieves "portrait of the artist as a young man")

SUBJECT Searches. Enter a Library of Congress Subject Heading (LCSH is located in Reference) or use a general subject to retrieve a list of subjects. The system automatically truncates on the right.
        Examples:
"birth control" will locate materials because it is an LCSH term.
"drugs and gangs" is not an LCSH term so it will not locate materials.
Note: To Search for a topic not in LCSH, use the Builder, Keyword, or Command Searches.
