Odum Institute Public Opinion Poll Question Database

This database includes more than 1000 Louis Harris Polls (going back to 1958) with more than 60,000 questions covering a diverse range of topics as well as items from the National Network of State Polls, and others. This database allows users to search for specific poll questions by using key words and then narrowing by poll and date. Developed by the Institute for Research in Social Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The GSS (General Social Survey) is an almost annual, "omnibus," personal interview survey of U.S. households conducted by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) with James A. Davis and Tom W. Smith as principal investigators (PIs). The first survey took place in 1972 and since then more than 35,000 respondents have answered over 2500 different questions.

National Network of State Polls

Confederation of organizations that conduct state-level surveys. The NNSP also administers a large archive of state survey data. The data archives give researchers electronic access to a large number of studies conducted in different states through the Odum Institute's Public Opinion Poll Question Database.
