PREMEDLINE provides searchers the opportunity to view citations that are in the process of being indexed for MEDLINE. Once the indexing is finished, the completed records will be added weekly to MEDLINE and the corresponding preliminary records deleted from PREMEDLINE. Note that the search default in PREMEDLINE is to Text Words (TW) because the file does not include MeSH headings. Also, be aware that these citations have not gone through NLM's quality control process.
Searching PREMEDLINE via PubMed or Internet Grateful Med is free. Searching PREMEDLINE using non-Web based access methods will incur charges at the regular MEDLINE rate. Document ordering via LOANSOME DOC is available in IGM.
