Electronic Access to Journals
Many journal articles are available in full text from online databases.  A list of these journal titles can be found on the Library's homepage (www.lib.wsc.ma.edu).  Select Full Text Periodical Directory.   Instructions for searching the list will appear.  Enter the beginning of the title of the journal.  If you are unsure of the exact title, you may search this list by entering a keyword within the title. The date following the title indicates time period covered in the database named. If the format is "online," click on the name of the database to be connected to that database.  If you are searching from off campus, search the Full Text Periodical Directory from the Off Campus Access link to connect to the desired database and retrieve and print the article.
NOTE: This list can also be used to search for WSC periodical holdings in print (paper) or microfilm.  These journals are shelved alphabetically in the Periodical Stacks on the Main floor of the Library.  In many cases, the Library holdings of a journal begin earlier than database coverage.

Print Journals
To search only for journals held in paper or microfilm at Ely Library, go to the Library's homepage (www.lib.wsc.ma.edu) and select Full Text Periodical Directory.  Select "print/microfilm publications only" to find out what is available in paper and/or microfilm.  Use this list to determine what volumes and years of each title are held in the library.  Back issues are either bound (paper) or on microfilm.  Bound periodicals are shelved alphabetically in the stacks behind the Circulation desk.  Microfilm is in cabinets in the Reference area.  Ask for help at the Reference Desk for loading the film and printing.
See examples above from the Full Text Periodicals Directory:

Note: If the volume number and the year are followed by a dash (ex. v.94- , 1990- ), the library has a current subscription to that title and the most recent issue is displayed on the first floor current periodical shelves.

This list also notes web sites connected with the journal.
Periodicals do not circulate. Photocopying of print and microfilm is available.
