Holocaust Survivors

Explore first-person accounts of the Holocaust through oral histories, video and photographs. The site also includes an encyclopedia, bibliography and links for additional study. The project is based in Louisiana, so many of the survivors were or are living in that area.

USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education

"Inspired by his experience making Schindler’s List, Steven Spielberg established the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation in 1994 to gather video testimonies from survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust..." This foundation is now part of the University of Southern California and contains "52,000 video testimonies in 32 languages, representing 56 countries; it is the largest archive of its kind in the world."  
 

Yad Vashem
