Move readers through a progression of reading levels using literature. This volume lists appropriate titles for those reading levels and includes tips on how to use them.

This two volume set "provides a comprehensive overview of the study and teaching of literacy in the US."  Literacies covered most thoroughly include "reading, writing, listening, and speaking," while popular culture, media, and technology literacies are also touched upon."  Information and computer literacies are not well addressed.

This database covers all aspects of education from preschool to training in business. It indexes and summarizes materials from specialized periodicals in the field (many of which we own), books, and unpublished documents which are available on microfiche in the reference area filed by ED numbers or accessible online (look for a link).  Always use the Thesaurus and the database help files for hints on searching.  See the Database Searching Guides.
